Visiting Happy Hearts Playspace for the First Time? Here’s What to Know

We are so excited to welcome you.

If you’re planning your first visit to Happy Hearts Playspace in Norwell, here are a few simple tips to help your day feel easy, smooth, and stress-free. Because we all know — leaving the house with little kids is already a win.

1. Everyone Wears Socks

Socks are required for both kids and adults on the play floor.

For little ones, we highly recommend grip socks. They help with climbing, balancing, and navigating the space confidently (especially for new walkers).

Forgot socks? Don’t worry — we have socks available for purchase so your little one can still play safely.

2. Bringing a Baby? Wear Them

If you have a small infant and a toddler, a wearable carrier is a game changer.

Being hands-free allows you to:

  • Fully engage with your toddler

  • Help with climbing or activities

  • Move easily around the space

It makes the whole experience feel much more relaxed.

3. Dress in Layers

Our space is cozy and active. Kids naturally warm up while playing, climbing, and exploring. Dressing them in light layers makes it easy to adjust as they go.

Think:

  • Leggings + long sleeve

  • T-shirt with a zip-up

  • Easy-on, easy-off pieces

Comfort over cute (though they’ll still look cute ).

4. Bring Snacks or Lunch

You’re welcome to bring snacks or a simple lunch to enjoy in our seating area.

Many families make it a full morning outing:
Play → Snack → More Play → Head Home for Nap

Having something on hand helps avoid the “I’m starving” meltdown right as you’re about to leave. Pro tip: pack water bottles too!

5. Keep It Simple

You don’t need to bring everything. We recommend:

  • Socks (or buy a pair here)

  • Water

  • Small snack

  • Diapers/wipes if needed

That’s it. Leave the giant bag in the car if you can — less to juggle, more to enjoy.

6. Arrive a Few Minutes Early

If it’s your first time visiting, coming a few minutes early helps:

  • Get checked in comfortably

  • Let your child warm up to the space

  • Avoid feeling rushed

Transitions go so much smoother when everyone can ease in.

7. Let Them Explore

Our Montessori-inspired, sensory-friendly setup encourages independent play.

Some children jump right in. Others like to observe first. Both are completely normal. Give them space, stay close, and you’ll usually see their confidence build quickly.

8. Rainy Days Fill Fast

If you’re planning to visit during school breaks or on a rainy day in Norwell, it’s always smart to reserve ahead. Indoor play on the South Shore becomes everyone’s plan when the weather turns.

We Can’t Wait to Meet You

Happy Hearts Playspace was designed to feel calm, welcoming, and manageable, not overwhelming. Our goal is for you to walk out thinking:
“That was actually easy.”

See you soon!
